February 4, 2012 ~ A gorgeous Saturday brought many people to the beach, including the Kite Surfers. The windy weather allowed the Kite Surfers to perform stunt and speed riding. They like the calmer waters on the Bay side of Damon Pt State Beach/Protection Island (my photos were taken just outside the Marina).

January 19, 2009 ~ This holiday weekend was opened up with some of the most beautiful weather we have seen in a while with absolutely clear skies. The weather was cold and a little breezy, but ever so beautifully sunny. The breezy weather gave way to a great and entertaining site down at Damon Point State Park beach: KITE SURFERS. I have only ever seen a few kite surfers at a time, but today, there were over 15. It was a really enjoyable site to see them criss-cross each other over the wake of the waves.
